About the event
Krampusnacht is a traditional celebration held on December 5th in parts of Europe, most notably the Alpine region, which precedes St. Nicholas Day. It involves a mythical, goat-like demon known as Krampus who, unlike St. Nicholas, punishes misbehaving children by swatting them with birch branches and frightening them. Krampusses are unpredictable creatures, but we expect them to show up after 4 pm to roam the Market.
